VivaCast 006 - Physiology Station - Oxygen - Sensing - Valsalva
Tom dives into the critical details of how oxygen makes it to the mitochondria, tells me of this concept called shunt and then gets thoroughly beaten to shreds by the Valsalva manoeuvre - a tactical doozy that gets rolled out because it is a baffling set of steps.
- Alveolar Gas Equation
- Shunt
- Hypoxic Pulmonary Vasoconstriction
- Oxygen concentration Sensing of Plasma
- And the Valsalva Manoeuvre.
We Debrief and break into some of the questions as we go.
As always the show notes are on the website!
